moeymarc > Rouen was the first town we visited in Normandy. It was completely charming. At the center of town (as in all French towns) is the cathedral. It appeared to have fire damage on the outside. We didn't know how recent. Of course, it was severely
damaged during WWII.

moeymarc > This is the inside. So beautiful. The inside of these cathedrals have such an unusual smell. They are so very old. It's also quite cold and dark inside.

moeymarc > We approached this island off the coast of Normandy by night. You could actually see it's reflection on the clouds in the dark sky. It's le Mont St. Michel, a beautiful abbey.

moeymarc > Yes, it was raining. The illuminated abbey stands at the top of a hill in the center of a charming village. We only spent an hour there, but I'd love to spend days!
